Mark Moliterni

Writing for as long as he can remember, one of Mark’s earliest memories is of gifting his grandmother with a handmade comic about a rabbit who traveled to outer space. As a teenager in snowy Toronto, Canada, he became obsessed with The O.C., vowing to someday move to California. Currently residing in sunny LA, Mark is a romantic who lives to turn dreams into reality. Passionate about telling stories that evoke the myriad emotions of everyday life with surprising but meaningful twists, the best compliment you can give Mark’s writing is that it made you cry. The second best is that it made you laugh. Mark took part in the 2021 OutFest Screenwriting Lab as a Notable Writer along with his writing partner, Vasilios Papapitsios. Mark’s first two shorts as writer-director were both featured by Canada's National Screen Institute and his work has played and won awards in festivals across North America. Mark was UPM on Girls Weekend, directed by Kyra Sedgwick, which premiered at Sundance 2019. He recently produced his first feature, Outside, which premiered at Cinequest Film & VR Festival 2021. Tales of astronaut bunnies and angsty teenagers will always hold a special place in his heart.
