Hi, I’m Alexandra Velasco, I’m a bilingual writer/director from Mexico City based in LA. My background as a visual artist empowers me to create bold avant-garde films with underlying social critique and surrealist horror undertones about weirdos and outcasts told through the paranormal lens. I’m grateful that my art has screened at museums, galleries and festivals worldwide and been featured in Vogue, Elle, i-D magazine and IndieWire. I’m currently in pre-production of the proof of concept for my first feature a sexy arthouse vampire film set in the underground party scene of Mexico City about a woman battling the darkness within before it devours her whole and turns her into a monster thirsting for revenge.
