Miguel Angel Caballero

Miguel Angel is an award-winning Chicano writer/director who received his bachelor's degree from the UCLA School of Theater, Film & Television. His latest short film, Acuitzeramo, was recently acquired by HBO and released January 2022. The film premiered at the Morelia International Film Festival, won Best Short at the Imagen Awards (2020) and Best LGBTQ Short at the American Pavilion at the Cannes Film Festival (2020). His previous film, Broken Sunflower Hearts, was named by Remezcla Magazine as one of the year's Best Short Films by US Latino Directors. Miguel Angel is a Film Independent Fellow, recipient of the 2021 WarnerMedia 150 Artist Grant, and co-founder Cabaldana Alchemy.
