Chad Shields

Chad Shields is an independent film producer, DGA assistant director, and PGA Create Program fellow. He has worked on prestige series for Apple TV+, Amazon, Netflix, and more. His credits as producer include Seagrass (premiering at TIFF ‘23), Unidentified Objects (distributed by Quiver), and The Lonely Detective,. Chad, a lifetime learner, is currently pursuing an MBA with a specialization in entertainment at UCLA. As an African American and military veteran, he is acutely aware of the lack of representation in the industry and volunteers his time as a tutor for public school STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) programs as well as at the Urban Scholar Film Academy to expand the pipeline for future generations of filmmakers.
