Ryan Shovey

Ryan Shovey is a writer/director from the small town of Ocala, FL, where feeling like an outcast for loving classic Universal Monster movies was the norm. His heroes were Edgar Allan Poe, Charlie Chaplin, and John Carpenter, and he longed to create empathetic stories with horror aesthetics. After attending film school in Orlando, Ryan moved through New Orleans, and found his new home in Los Angeles, CA, honing his voice and craft on over a dozen short films along the way. Ryan has always been a self taught artist, and took the time to learn the craft of screen writing in order to be a better storyteller and filmmaker. Ryan’s passion is writing and directing crowd pleasing horror films where outcasts embrace their darkness to overcome their demons.
