I'm a writer to who uses genre and absurdist comedy to explore societal and human issues by juxtaposing the fantastic and mundane together. My stories frequently involve Magical Realism, Supernatural Fantasy, and Science Fiction. I use my experience as a mathematician and math instructor to take abstract concepts that may seem to be incoherent and confusing ideas and make them meaningful through an emotionally grounded context that others can easily understand. I'm a big fan of the classics and not so secretly wish I could host Turner Classic Movies. Sunset Boulevard, Trouble in Paradise, Sullivan's Travels, Sanjuro, The Graduate are just a few of my favorites.
