Bio

Luyen “Lu” Vu is an American film editor. He began his love of film while studying philosophy as an undergraduate at UCLA, subsequently attending the prestigious USC School of Cinematic Arts graduate film program. He started his career out as an Assistant Editor on Emmy nominated shows such as Arrested Development and Heroes, but quickly was promoted to Editor on the acclaimed JJ Abrams’ series Fringe. The first season of American Crime would garner 10 Emmy nomination, including a nomination for Lu for editing the pilot. John and Lu would continue to work on many projects over the next few years, including a few pilots and the recently released sci-fi feature “Needle in a Timestack” for Lionsgate. In between working with John, Lu has edited many pilots, working with Emmy nominated and Oscar winning directors such as Jessica Yu, Nicole Kassel, Steph Green, Rachel Morrison, and Liz Friedlander.
