Rhi Collins

Rhi Collins is a Trans, Non-binary Assistant Director and Filmmaker, whose vision of creating has always centered around personal identity, acceptance and transformation. They moved to Brooklyn in 2014, where they received their BA in Film & Video Production at CUNY Brooklyn College. Rhi’s 2016 thesis film Obligation was selected for six LGBTQ film festivals and won the New York Women in Film & TV Emerging Female Filmmaker Award. Currently working as an First Assistant Director in NYC, Rhi has AD’d four feature films: Dope Queens, The Disruptors, My Heavenly City, Summer Solstice, and over 35 short films. Their goal is to continue making films, providing safe spaces for all people, all genders, all self identifiers, and to focus on developing new work as a writer and director, centering around self discovery.
