Mariel Neto

Mariel is an LA-based director, writer, and producer. Her directing work finds the surreal and silly in the commonplace and every day, living in a mishmash of highbrow and lowbrow and none of that doldrum drudgery in between. As a producer, she loves to investigate unique approaches by collaborating with artists who work in mediums outside of traditional filmmaking. Her most recent project, an experimental sci-fi film - We Are Not Alone - made in collaboration with graphic novelist Ezra C Daniels and animation video artist Buki Bodunrin, premieres at SXSW in March. Her recent film Blue was acclaimed at festivals throughout Europe winning Best Screenplay at Montecantini International FF. She’s directed star-studded commercials for many brands, including, Olay x Christian Siriano, Delta Dental, Postmates, Oatly, Dos Hombres, and more.
