Jules Rico

Jules Rico is making waves in the documentary world as a Queer, first-generation Colombian-American. With a magna cum laude degree from CUNY Hunter, Jules started their career as an Associate Producer for the thought-provoking documentary "Policing our Bodies", which explored the Decrim Movement in NYC and Sex Worker’s Rights. However, storytelling through camera movements and light captured Jules' heart, leading them to shift career paths into the camera department. Since then, Jules has worked tirelessly to climb the ranks in the industry, currently occupying the intersection of AC and Camera Operator. Their impressive resume includes work on a number of documentaries and docuseries for major streaming services such as Hulu's "37Words", HBO Max's "My So-Called High School Rank", and Amazon Prime's "The Kids In the Hall: Comedy Punks". But Jules' talents don't stop there - they have also dabbled in independent films such as "Naomi Replansky At 100" at OutFest2020, "Wes Doesn’t Live Here Anymore", and "Never The Less She Auditioned". Jules is currently hard at work on their latest project, "Las 6 Hermanas", a documentary film about the bonds of sisterhood. With their vast experience and passion for storytelling, there's no doubt that Jules Rico is a rising star in the film industry.
