Frank Kyazze

Frank Kyazze is a first-generation Ugandan American writer whose experiences growing up as an outsider have shaped his unique perspective and inspired his writing. Born and raised in the United States, Frank struggled to fit in as a child, often feeling like he was caught between two worlds.   Despite the challenges he faced, Frank found solace in writing and storytelling. He honed his craft writing nights as he worked as a Cybersecurity Architect for the last 9 years. His debut feature film script, "Brother Rosalino," draws on his own experiences of feeling like an outsider and translates them into the struggles of a young transgender man trying to assert his identity in a harsh and unforgiving world.   Frank's writing is characterized by its emotional depth, social consciousness, and authenticity. He is passionate about telling stories that explore the complexities of identity, belonging, and survival, and he draws on his own experiences and those of others to create characters and narratives that resonate with audiences.   In addition to his work as a screenwriter, Frank is also a dedicated advocate for diversity and inclusion in the film industry. He believes in the power of storytelling to break down barriers and build bridges between communities, and he is committed to using his platform to amplify voices that have been historically marginalized.   Overall, Frank Kyazze is a talented and insightful writer whose work speaks to the universal human experience while also shining a light on the unique challenges faced by underrepresented communities.
