Sheherzad Raza Preisler

I’m is a native New Yorker who attended undergrad at Columbia University, where I majored in Middle Eastern, South Asian, and African studies and followed the pre-medical track. After an identity crisis, I fell in love with all things filmmaking and am now an MFA candidate at Brooklyn College’s Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema, from which I am graduating in May 2023. Much of my personal work deals with growing up Muslim in post-9/11 America. Over the course of my MFA, I have developed skilled to assist on film sets in many different ways! In addition to writing and directing, I have experience being 1st and 2nd AD, producing, COVID safety officer, as well as 1st AC.
