Bio
Jeff Springer is an Emmy nominated documentary filmmaker and freelance cinematographer who has worked with PBS, NBC, Discovery, Paramount+, Sony Pictures, Lucasfilm, Channel 5 (UK), Arte (France), ZDF (Germany), and DR2 (Denmark), as well as brands such as Google, Amazon, Nike, and Microsoft. His first feature documentary went to over 200 film festivals and won 37 awards for Best Documentary. As a cinematographer he has shot numerous television documentaries, using his strong background in editing to not just create beautiful images, but to also build compelling visual stories. His latest feature documentary Rodents of Unusual Size, about giant swamp rats invading coastal Louisiana, was funded by ITVS, was broadcast nationally through Independent Lens on PBS, is rated 98% on Rotten Tomatoes, and was featured as an answer on Jeopardy. He grew up in Hawaii and has lived in Afghanistan, Russia, London, Berlin, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and is now based in New York.
