Bio
I started out writing radio plays for the BBC in London when I was a teenager and was also taught comics writing by Watchmen creator Alan Moore and art by V For Vendetta creator David Lloyd at a Youth Workshop in West London. Since then, I’ve written a Steampunk Justice League graphic novel, JLA: Age of Wonder for DC Comics and La Muse, a comedy about an LGBTQ super heroine and political activist. Since then, I graduated from NYU filament school, wrote the first post-Cold War Russian gangster film, Zinky Boys Go Underground, which won the BAFTA for Best Short Film, and a trilogy of novels about an Indian-British private eye who’s plagued by gods. I’ve been writing screenplays for hire and also co-wrote and co-directed Comisery, one of the first indie movies made during Lockdown via Zoom that was also the first Asian-American Science Fiction screwball comedy. High concepts, satire and social commentary are my jam. I also collect ghost stories. Might be an Asian thing.
