Dayna Noffke

Dayna Noffke is a WGA writer and director of female-forward horror and action, whose work is fueled by gallows humor and a desire for connection. Her voice has been described as "Wednesday Addams meets Mrs. Maisel," and is informed by diverse life experiences - from cocktail waitressing to teaching special ed, fieldwork in Nicaragua, a short roller derby career, and beyond! Dayna is particularly drawn to tales of survival and of complex family dynamics. Her favorite stories sit at the intersection of the beautiful and the horrific. A few of her recent spec scripts include a J-horror feature, a time-bending supernatural slasher, and an Anne Boleyn/witchcraft tale. Dayna's previous writing credits include a staff writing position on a WGA new media series, multiple short films, and horror content for Japanese animation studio, Plott Tokyo. Her darkly beautiful short films have screened at festivals throughout the world. When she is not behind her keyboard or on set, you’ll likely find Dayna in the midst of a horror movie marathon, at the skate park, studying Japanese, or daydreaming of her next travel adventure.
