Cassandra Rose

Originally from Rockford, IL (go Peaches!), Cassandra’s sordid past includes growing up doing historical reenactment, giving tours in a science museum's coal mine, and working at a literacy nonprofit. As a playwright, she followed up a BA in Playwriting at Columbia College Chicago with a decade of Chicago playwriting self-productions and residencies, including Chicago Dramatists' Tutterow Fellowship. Then she made the move to LA and completed a certificate in Writing for TV at UCLA's Professional Program. Recently, she won Austin Film Festival with her scripted Digital Series, Walk Into A Bar. Her day job as a Narrative Designer had her adapting romance novels into visual novels for the Chapters: Interactive Stories mobile video game. She’s also been contracted by Wondery to write episodic audio fiction. No matter the format or genre, she writes about people who make genuine connections in surprising ways.
