Yeshan Zhang

I'm a Brooklyn-based, China-raised storyteller. I've made two documentaries in grad school and have a year professional experience as an Additional Editor for a doc-series. As a Han Chinese, I grew up in a town where a majority of the population is Muslim in Xinjiang, northwest China. I developed Interest in religions and cultures of ethnic minorities. I graduated from SVA MFA Photo&Video department in 2021. I would love to work on projects that portray underrepresented communities and different cultures with an ultimate goal of becoming a documentary Editor. I'm especially Interested in topics like human rights, immigration, education, and food. I'm open to all types of projects and would love to connect with people.
