Laura Brienza

Laura Brienza is a screenwriter from New Jersey. Most recently, she wrote the movie Meet Me Under the Mistletoe, which premiered in December 2023 on Great American Family and Hulu. She also wrote the Hallmark Channel original film A Taste of Summer, which premiered in August 2019 starring Roselyn Sanchez and Eric Winter. Her TV pilot Other People's Children won the Lifetime Writers Project at the New York Television Festival. Her play Old Love New Love had its World Premiere at Luna Stage in West Orange, NJ, where it was hailed for its "sharp writing" and "poignant moments" by the New York Times; it is published by Dramatists Play Service and has had subsequent productions at Curtain Call Theatre in New York and Clackamas Repertory Theater in Portland, Oregon. Her other plays have been produced and developed at Luna Stage, Carnegie Stage, the Lark Play Development Center, and the Kennedy Center. She is a graduate of Georgetown University.
