Shanele Soares

Over the past 10 years Shanele Soares has worked as a director, videographer and digital marketer for non-profit and corporate clients across Canada, the US, Qatar and Kuwait. Her campaigns and deliverables have helped solicit millions in international donations, impressions, and generated leads. Shanele is focusing her creative efforts on writing and directing feature film & television projects, exploring the nuanced experiences of the intersecting demographics she belongs to. Shanele has recently completed her first documentary feature film and her first scripted short film. She has served as a story consultant for feature films available on popular streaming services, as a script reader and juror for the Muslim Public Affairs Council, Hollywood Bureau and a facilitator at the POV/ Envision Lab. Currently Shanele is developing her first scripted feature film and has several other scripted and documentary projects in the works.
