Evan Mirzai

Evan is a first generation, LGBTQ+ Iranian American and WGA Feature & TV W/D/P from the Inland Empire. He founded House of M Productions and is also a co-founder of the WGA's new Middle Eastern Diversity Committee. He grew up between his mother's American heritage and his father's Persian culture which sparked his varying range of interests in everything from comic books to basketball to the art life and the machinations of local, national and international politics. Evan's writing career started with four consecutive Black List honors and he has sold several studio features including his debut studio sale of ULTRA for Will and Jaden Smith to star and produce at Sony. He also writes and produces half hour and hour long television while making a name for himself as an EP in the unscripted world producing high budget event series, the first of which is the $20M ORIGINS: THE JOURNEY OF HUMANKIND for Disney+ and the next being TIMELAPSE OF THE UNIVERSE with Kendrick Lamar joining him as his fellow EP alongside pgLang and Travis Scott. Evan is EP on the HBOmax // Discovery+ series HIGH SCIENCE with Will Ferrell and Funny or Die and he is now adapting THE CUPID INDEX, a Persian romantic comedy novel, for Eva Longoria, her husband Pepe Baston, and Forbes Billionaire Farhad Moshiri into a feature Evan will direct. Evan's most recent writing credit is the inclusive reboot of AMERICAN PIE to Universal and Netflix which debuted Fall of 2020.
