Vicki Schairer

My journey has taken me from directing theatre to directing shorts to producing television to editing. I loves stories that explore the triumphs, failures and nuances of the human condition. I love diving deeper and continuing to learn about the craft of storytelling. In 2020 I wrote 52 short screenplays in 52 weeks in order to learn to generate story and write compelling films. I was a NEXT fellow at The Braid, a storytelling theater in Santa Monica, where I curated and edited stories across a theme. I’ve directed multiple shorts, two of which have been featured at film festivals. Relatively recently I’ve decided to move towards editing. I love the creative puzzle of crafting story and performances to create something that delights, inspires or moves and audience. I’d love to connect with others to talk about our craft, learn from each other, or just talk about the latest tv or movie we’ve recently watched!
