Bio

Alex is a WGA LGBTQ+ writer known for taking big emotional character stories and funneling them through exciting genre narratives. In the feature space, Alex is adapting her short story, SHOOT DOWN THE SKY, a queer coming-of-age love story set against an invasion of creatures in a small town, for Cavalry Media. She also recently completed a rewrite of a feature script for Mike Flannagan that is set to shoot in January. She is currently developing her series STRAYS along with Mike Moore for Berlanti and WBTV. She is also developing a limited-series adaptation of BROKEN GIRLS, the novel by best selling author Simone St. James, with Kelli Breslin and Mali Elfman, and finally she is developing a graphic novel into a TV series with Carina MacKenzie and Aisha Tyler. Alex came up writing on SyFy’s show THE MAGICIANS and is mentored by showrunner Sera Gamble (YOU).
