A.P. de la Caridad was meant to be a turn-of-the-century, sharp-tongued, British street-urchin; but his soul went rogue and landed in the Brownest, ADHD’est, lower-middle class latchkey kid in a quirky five-hundred person mountain town. As an adult his Voice was hardened after his off-and-on father mysteriously died and he overcame Stage IV Head & Neck Cancer — relearning how to swallow, speak, and breathe. He’s drawn to offbeat characters pushing back at adulthood to chase the impossible, crafting dramedies that walk the tightrope between hilarious and heartfelt. A.P. is a ’22 Roadmap Writer on the Map, ‘22 Read Latinx Writer’s Initiative Fellow, & Coverfly Endorsed Writer. He’s been a bridesmaid but never a bride for Mentorship Matters, Nicholl, ABC/Disney, CBS, and the Sundance Episodic Lab. His screenplay is out with producers Scott Budnick (The Hangover franchise), Rebeca Leon (Father of the Bride '22) and Matt Bierman (Scooby Doo) with Anthony Nardolillo (7th & Union) attached to direct, reggaeton superstar Lunay to star, and Roselyn Sanchez (Rush Hour, Fantasy Island, Devious Maids) to Co-Star.
