Hailing from Nowheresville, North Dakota (near the Dakota Access pipeline project), Sydney joined the Montana Army National Guard for college tuition and got more than she bargained for. After serving as an Army tank mechanic in Iraq she acquired her BA in Film & TV, served a stint as a Broadcast Operator at a PBS station, and dabbled in a starter career in Sci-Fi Post Production before tapping the brakes to ease into an MFA in Screenwriting. Sydney specializes in true stories about badass women. From Napoleon Bonaparte’s Minister of Military Ballooning to 1940s country western star Cindy Walker’s meteoric rise to fame, she always has something to share about some legendary woman you’ve probably never heard of.
