Bio
Kathy E. Mitrani is a Colombian filmmaker based in New York. She is an MFA graduate from Columbia University School of the Arts. Her first narrative short film Rozada (Rubbed in Pink) had its festival premier at Palm Springs International Film Festival 2020. It then screened at AFI Fest, La Femme International Film Festival, Festival Internacional de Cine de Villa de Leyva in Colombia and Cinemaattic in Scotland. Rozada is featured on Directors Notes, Ladies with Lenses and was selected as a Vimeo Staff Pick. Her next short film, Buzzkill premiered at Chicago International Film Festival in 2020 then screened at Rio de Janeiro International Short Film Festival, Miami Film Festival and Palm Springs International Shortfest. It was awarded the University Short Film Award at Hamptons International Film Festival. It then screened at New Orleans Film Festival and Kerry Film Festival in Ireland. Her latest film, Tal Para Cual is currently in post production.
