Yuki Yuan

Yimeng (Yuki) is a Chinese artist and film director born and raised in Wuhan and based in Los Angeles. In 2019, she graduated from UCLA with an Art History B.A.. Since 2020, She directed 30+ episodes of stop-motion animation for DA Culture Int’l Inc, which attracted over 1M+ views on Chinese social media, and in 2022, started her own production company, Salon de Paprika. Her directing work pursues clandestine self-deconstructive criticism, in exploration of the complex human nature and synesthetic connections between memory and reality. Her previous films have been selected at numerous Oscar® Qualifying festivals and screened in France, Italy, China, and the US. She is currently working on her proof of concept short film, Fish Tank, for her first feature script, The Flâneuse.
