Danielle Beckmann

Danielle Beckmann is a bicoastal producer, actress, and filmmaker with a penchant for creating community in the film industry, especially when it comes to women, LGBTQ+ filmmakers, and filmmakers of color. As a member of Women in Film and The FilmmakeHers, she loves to champion and advocate for artists. In 2019, Beckmann produced and starred in the award-winning narrative short film Liza Anonymous, which made its world premiere debut at the 2021 Tribeca Film Festival. The short received critical acclaim and she is now producing and reprising her role as Liza in the feature version. In 2022, Beckmann produced and starred in the Stowe Story Labs Selection narrative short Tiki Bar Funeral Home, and likewise produced and starred in the dark comedy short Ex-Husband were she plays opposite SNL vet Bobby Moynihan. Beckmann also plays the title character of Sam in the horror comedy short Sam & Kiki produced by Sundance Fellow Rashad Frett. Up next Beckmann is slated for her directorial debut with the short film Dr. Sam starring Lucie Arnaz, as well as her own magical realism short Nai Nai. With 6 years of experience playing tabletop role playing games in front of and behind the camera, she has produced four robust on-camera and livestreamed unscripted shows for a total of 160 episodes. She is also a video editor, and a creative coach with her company The Spirited Storyteller. She is also the co-founder of her production company Brooklyn Quarter and currently resides in Los Angeles.
