Bio
Erin Ruvalcaba Grogan is a TV writer who has lived in New York, Ireland, South Africa, and now Texas - all the while believing the best part of her experiences were in the stories of these places. Erin has an MFA in Writing for the Stage and Screen from Lesley University, as well as a PhD in Interdisciplinary Fine Arts from Texas Tech University. Despite her scholarly leanings, Erin also hosts a paranormal podcast called Honestly? Haunted. Erin’s obsession with the supernatural and understanding the mysteries of life stems from the fact that she is pretty sure her imaginary friend in elementary school was her dead Aunt. As an avid enthusiast of all things spooky and historical, her writing explores the liminal space between fact and fiction. As a playwright, Erin’s supernatural historical thriller RATHBONE has been staged in Texas and was also a Second-Rounder in the Austin Film Festival. Her dark comedy pilot SATAN’S LITTLE PRINCESS has placed in the ScreenCraft Screenwriting Fellowship, Final Draft - Big Break, and WeScreenplay TV Contest. Erin’s work strives to find truth in the unknown, all with a slight twist of morbid humor and plenty of dark thrills.
