Jaya Armstead

Jaya Armstead is a writer/director and recent Master of Fine Arts in Screenwriting graduate of the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles. She graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors along with being her class’s Talent Award Scholarship recipient. She is currently a board member and Co-Social Chair of Texas Christian University’s Alumni Association Los Angeles Chapter and a member of the Alliance of Women Directors. In May of 2021, she graduated Texas Christian University, earning my Bachelor of Arts in Writing with a minor in Film, Television, and Digital Media Studies. While at TCU, Jaya lead the AddRan Liberal Arts College as the Leader of Policy & Advocacy starting the first mentorship program for the college. In addition at her time at TCU, she competed in the Miss Black & Gold Pageant winning Miss Ad Sales and Miss Cheri Malvern Fighting Heart Award. Formerly, Jaya interned for FOX Sports as a production intern, Modern Luxury Dallas as an editorial intern, and also served as a content writer for Kearley & Company Inc.
