Claire Aguayo

I am a screenwriter and filmmaker with extensive experience in film and design. I am currently transitioning from film and design to my first love, writing, with a focus on feature film screenwriting. With a deep interest in mental health and inner life, I am committed to telling stories with emotional integrity and everyday beauty. I am inspired by the playfulness of Greta Gerwig, the humor of the Coen Brothers, the honesty of Elena Ferrante, the strangeness of Thomas Pynchon, and the imagination of Frida Kahlo. I am also seeking to direct and produce - to be immersed in the wild process of creating a film and to be working towards improving that working environment, especially for women and mothers. I believe work-life balance can and should exist.
