KT Hartline

KT Hartline brings a wide range of personal and professional experiences to her female-driven pilots, features and plays exploring identity and family dynamics. After working as a NYC elementary schoolteacher, KT worked as a journalist and editor for several magazines. After her son was born, life took an unexpected turn into the homeschooling world. While educating her kid, KT’s plays were performed in festivals in the Bay Area and around the country. Her play, It’s Alarming, was a Finalist for the Heideman Award. KT was also selected for the Playground SF writers pool where her plays were performed at Berkeley Rep in their Monday Night Series. Since setting her sights on screenwriting, KT’s pilots and features have received accolades in competitions, including Austin Film Festival Second Rounder, Launch Pad Top 75, International Page Awards Finalist and ScreenCraft Fellowship Semi-Finalist.
