Bio

Natalie Camou is a Mexican American writer and director based in Los Angeles. She is currently writing and producing a soon to be announced historical fiction television series, with elements of sci-fi, fantasy, and drama. She was hired to direct CHANGING THE CHAIRS, a PSA for Audi showcasing women in the director’s chair. The piece opened QUEEN & SLIM’s world premiere at AFI FEST. During the summer of 2019, she shadowed director Tiffany Johnson and creator/co-showrunner Lena Waithe on TWENTIES. Natalie’s autobiographical short TEREZA won the Inaugural Audi Fellowship for Women – a full tuition scholarship to attend the directing program at the American Film Institute. Natalie’s AFI thesis LOUISE premiered at the National Association of Independent Latino Producer’s Latino Media Fest, won Best Latinx Short at the Seattle Latino Film Festival and continues to screen at festivals from Latino Media Market to the Houston Latino Film Festival.
