Peri Lapidus

Although she was born in LA, Peri (She/They) comes from a long lineage of New York Jews; so she's more comfortable around a bialy than the beach. They grew up watching sitcoms which helped inspire her comedic writing style. While they write both Film and TV across multiple genres, her passion is Adult Animation. Her writing always aims to highlight the joy and diversity within the queer community. Peri attended Emerson College where the motto was gay by May, but she came out her First week there (she’s always been an overachiever). She was awarded the Outstanding Senior Screenwriting Award by the college's Film department and graduated with a Writing for Film and TV BA and a minor in psychology. After graduating Peri moved back to LA. She was staffed on the Netflix show Team Kaylie where she was able to write and produce three episodes. Peri has placed in multiple competitions for her animated pilot Beavertown and her feature film Resting Bitch Face. She currently does stand up comedy around LA.
