Kristi Reed

Kristi Reed is a three-time Emmy-nominated casting and voice director in the animation industry. She is a member of the LGBTQ+ community and has made committed efforts in pushing for greater inclusivity of queer characters in children’s programming. In 2019, one of the series she was a part of, Steven Universe, became the first animated series in history to win a GLAAD award for Outstanding Kids and Family Programming. In 2020, another of her projects, Kipo & The Age of Wonderbeasts, aired on Netflix and became the first all-ages animated program to ever have a character (a main character) voice the words, “I’m gay”. In 2022 the series DeadEndia will air and feature the first transgender lead character in an all-ages animated series. She is currently working on several series for Cartoon Network, Warner Bros. Animation, Netflix Animation, Disney Television Animation, HBOMax, Apple TV+ Animation & Dreamworks Television Animation.
