William Lucas Walker

William Lucas (Bill) Walker is an Emmy-winning winning producer best known for his work on the hit comedies ROSEANNE, FRASIER and WILL & GRACE, named three of television's "101 Best Written Series" by the Writers Guild of America. Bill also co-created the critically-acclaimed CHRIS ISAAK SHOW, an hour comedy about the music industry which ran for three seasons on Showtime. He is currently developing a family comedy based on his popular Huffington Post humor column, "Spilled Milk." In 2006, after developing and consulting on new series with Sony Television, Disney Studios and ABC Productions, Bill stepped away from his career in television for a different kind of full-time job. Among America's first wave of gay dads building families, he spent the next decade at home raising his children Elizabeth and James. Best decision ever. In 2012, at the invitation of Arianna Huffington, he began to write about these experiences in a humor column for THE HUFFINGTON POST. "Spilled Milk" made its debut on HuffPost's front page in 2012 and became an instant hit with readers and breaking ground as the first widely published column by an LGBTQ parent. In 2018, Bill returned to television, selling the comedy/adventure series TIME/BOLT to Amazon Studios. He has since developed new series with Imagine Television and Nina Tassler's Patma Productions. Bill is currently developing a family comedy based on his "Spilled Milk" columns called DADS OF DEWITT with Norman Lear and Brent Miller at Act III Productions. When Covid shut down the entertainment industry shut down in 2020, Bill created the WHO AM I? MASK CHALLENGE, a social media PSA campaign aimed at raising awareness of masks as lifesavers to slow the spread of Covid.
