Marissa Dow

MARISSA DOW is a young Black writer; Philadelphian by birth, New Yorker at heart and pseudo converted LA transplant. After graduating summa cum laude from Fordham University, Marissa entered NBC’s legendary Page Program. Marissa has worked on the development side at an award winning production company and currently works as a showrunner’s assistant for an ABC drama, working closely with both the showrunner and the writers. Marissa's happy place behind the keyboard is writing dramedy. She’s been chosen for the 2021 Writers on the Map program, and Roadmap initiative. In her free time Marissa likes to risk mercury poisoning for her sushi obsession and prides herself on being a scholar of the Real Housewives universe.
