Bio
Amena is a NY born, first gen American-Egyptian-Iranian writer-producer, attorney, composer, and actress in her 20s. Caught between three different cultures, Amena explores racial and cultural identity in her work. She studied film at USC and ASU’s Herberger Institute and holds a Juris Doctorate from ASU Law, specializing in IP Law. Amena is repped by Hillary Levi at Gotham Group and has TV projects in the sci-fi/fantasy, drama, and dramedy spaces. Amena is making her debut as a feature producer, co-producing a biopic sports film (written by Netflix’s THE KISSING BOOTH franchise co-writer Jay Arnold) in collaboration with Dean DeBlois’ Anvil Pictures. She also recently completed a work for hire book to feature film adaptation for producer Robert Mitas (Netflix’s RATCHED). Amena stays connected to the legal profession as a Creative Producer at her alma mater ASU Law School, where she produces the criminal justice reform podcast MEASURED JUSTICE, for which she received a Forbes 30 Under 30 nomination from ASU Law.
