Kristina Sorge

Award-winning documentary filmmaker who founded Lightbox Media, a boutique production house, after a successful career in journalism. Her first short documentary, “Bernice” sold to Amazon Prime after premiering at Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival in 2015. Kristina went on to direct and produce two-original web series for The Atlantic titled “Women & Leadership” and “Frontiers of Sports,” and was later hired by Condé Nast Entertainment as a creative director. Kristina recently completed her first feature-length documentary, “Divided We Fall” and is currently producing a documentary for AppleTV+ on Muhammad Ali’s legendary photographer, Howard Bingham. Kristina began her career as a journalist for BBC News where she covered current events from the economic recession to the U.S. mid-term and Presidential elections. Kristina worked on two feature-length specials for BBC’s international flagship series, Panorama, investigating topics such as the Church of Scientology and the death of Michael Jackson. Kristina’s experience with current affairs continued at CNN, where she worked closely with primetime correspondents such as Anderson Cooper, Drew Griffith, and Sanjay Gupta. During this time, Kristina worked as a studio and field producer covering breaking news such as the Boston Marathon Bombings, Sandy Hook school shooting, Hurricane Sandy, among others. Kristina has spent extended periods of time living and working in the Middle East and parts of Europe.
