Nate Jaxon

Nate is a Genre junkie. He loves consuming and producing content that allows filmmakers to play in the sand box. Compelling characters are absolutely necessary, but director style is a second priority. His ultimate goal is to emulate some of the greatest producers around; Jon Landau, David Heyman, Ram Bergman. People who believe in auteur filmmakers and support only the highest quality of projects from a catered community. Nate grew up in Columbia, Maryland a suburb of Washington D.C. From a very early age he was enamored with visual storytelling and the complexity of the filmmaking process. He attended the University of Miami where he shot his first short films learning what it meant to pull a crew together, manage actors, the post-production process, before graduating and moving to Los Angeles, California. From 2015 to 2023, Nate worked at Lightstorm Entertainment on the Production and Technology Services team. A small team that oversaw the entire production and post-production process for James Cameron's Avatar Sequels. He also worked on Terminator: Dark Fate and Alita: Battle Angel during his tenure there. As if that was not a big enough challenge, Nate started his Masters in Business during the COVID-19 Pandemic at UC Irvine. "I had a coming to terms with myself about what my goals were and what I wanted to be apart of going forward. The MBA has helped me to understand the thought processes of studios, business leaders, and the theatrical landscape of cinema." Nate now has a position working on the Content Relations Team for Dolby Cinema looking for new talent, upcoming projects, and monitoring the state of theatrical filmmaking. Nate is looking for genre bending filmmakers. Writers with stories that explore complex ethical and actionable dilemmas. Directors that know how to communicate with A-List talent and PA's about what they want and how to get the job done.
