Jessie Creel

Jessie Creel is an independent producer and the founder of Joyful Participation Pictures. Her projects have screened internationally at Sundance, Cannes, Berlin, and more. She is currently developing KINGS COUNTY, a NYT Critic’s Pick novel and Gotham Prize finalist about young love and murder set against the backdrop of indie music in Brooklyn during the aughts, MOLECULE OF MORE, a docuseries based on the international bestseller about dopamine, and CADAVER KING AND THE COUNTRY DENTIST, the true story of falsified medical records and wrongful convictions in post-Jim Crow Mississippi. Jessie is also the co-founder and Managing Partner of Old Mill Ventures, a fund supporting independent film and television. She lives with her husband and three kids in San Clemente, California.
