Beyond writing for television, I am an alum of the New Leaders Council of Los Angeles and helped fold disability equity into its curriculum. I co-directed its leadership institute for 20 diverse young leaders across fields of education, law, management, environmental justice, and more I’m also a former competitive archer, a former journalist, and today continue to help brands and businesses with messaging and speechwriting I’ve worked with PayPal, Los Angeles Public Library, Southern California Grantmakers, The Inevitable Foundation, Angel Flight West, A Window Between Worlds, and several other clients For many years I’ve also been a story analyst for Nickelodeon Studios and Netflix. I was also a long-time expert judge for the Norman Lear Foundation’s Sentinel Awards, which honor accurate and meaningful depictions of health, science, and climate topics. I use a wheelchair or crutches to get around and have significant on-set experience. I am happy to help guide disabled creatives — a massively underrepresented and misrepresented demographic in the industry — and to be an ear for folks who have become newly disabled or who haven’t disclosed their disability for fear of lost opportunities
