Amit May Cohen

Multi-instrumentalist composer with a colorful and eclectic approach to film and tv scoring. Known for a diverse body of work ranging from the Disney Channel's Zombies 2 and Zombies 3 (co-scored with renowned composer George S. Clinton), her guitar-centric documentary co-score with Dara Taylor, 37 Words, and her innovative score for the Netflix documentary short, The Dreamlife of Georgie Stone. She has worked as an additional composer and/or orchestrator on projects including Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw (2019), Zoey 102 (2023), SWAT (2017-2020), The Sinner (2018-2020), Curious George: Cape Ahoy (2021), American Refugee (2021) and the Australian Academy Award nominated documentary In My Blood It Runs (2019). Originally from Israel, Amit's debut EP Volatility (2022) showcases her exploration of unique sounds and textures, striking a balance between tradition and innovation. Many of her scores have incorporated experimental elements such as bicycle chains, mouth percussion, detuned guitars, and bird sounds.
