In creating the Black Women in Comedy Laff Fest, we did so to highlight and showcase Funny Black Women who are often left out of the conversation when lead roles in film/television etc. are available as well as comedy clubs creating room to book BiPoc, WOC, and other marginalized creatives. This is our third year and it’s gaining traction, with a few casting agents, bookers, and the like. I’m proud of this endeavor. Any support is appreciated. As my girl Hollie Harper would say, “if you love Black Women, then you’re part of the solution!”
